McDonald’s Hopes to Lure Customers Back with an Affordable ‘McValue 2.0’ Menu

McDonald's McValue 2.0

It’s hard to find a true value these days. Not only are prices rising everywhere, but we also don’t see much hope for a trend downwards. That doesn’t mean we’ve cut all our spending, but Americans tend to be much more selective with their money. Fast food was once a convenient choice for on-the-go eating because it tended to be less expensive. Nowadays, that’s not always the case. McDonald’s faced sharp criticism for price hikes and now wants to change things with the “McValue 2.0” menu. This new option offers $3 and $4 meals for customers.

McDonald’s McValue Menu Will Roll Out in April

Per MSN, McDonald’s announced the new McValue Menu in an internal message to franchisees. The menu is intended to bring back lower-income consumers who have since avoided fast food purchased in a post-pandemic world.

“We have achieved incredible progress together and remain committed to meeting ever-changing customer needs,” McDonald’s wrote in a message to chain franchisees obtained by The Wall Street Journal.

The McDonald’s McValue Menu will reportedly replace buy-one-add-one promotions. Menu items include a $3 4-piece Chicken McNuggets and Sausage Biscuit. For $4, they can purchase a McMuffin, hash browns, and coffee for breakfast.

McDonald’s also wants their food to be sustainable, safe, and delicious while providing value to customers.

“We embed strict food safety standards and protocols in the Company’s processes, from food sourcing to menu development, packaging and distribution, and the running of McDonald’s restaurants,” according to the McDonald’s website. “McDonald’s mission is to create delicious, feel-good moments for everyone. We listen to our customers and evaluate our menu to identify ways to evolve our offerings while maintaining the great taste people know and love.”

We hope this new McDonald’s McValue 2.0 Menu will kick the food industry into gear and offer more affordable dining options.
