True friendships are hard to come by, but when you find a soulmate you feel it in your bones.
Michael D. Cisneros and his partner are parents to an adorable 2-year-old son named Maxwell. The family lives in New York City, and Maxwell enjoys a variety of toddler-based activities in his neighborhood. Once a week Maxwell goes to Dana Banana, a weekly music event, as well as a toddler music class.

Maxwell loves his music classes especially well because he gets to see his very best friend in the entire world, 2-year-old Finnegan. Finnegan and Maxwell have only known each other for a year, but since they’re only two let’s face it — that’s half their lives! They’ve already formed an incredibly close bond and absolutely love to spend as much time together as they can.
“When they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another,”Michael said. “They go to music class together, Dana Banana (a weekly music event) and they love to dance — both are excellent dancers.â€
Maxwell and Finnegan’s parents soon became friendly as well, getting the boys together whenever they can for barbecues and tennis lessons. On a recent Thursday afternoon Michael and Maxwell were walking down the city sidewalk near their homes when they spotted a familiar little face coming towards them. Michael began to record video, and within seconds he’d recorded one of the most adorable toddler reunions ever captured.

Without uttering a word, both Finnegan and Maxwell start running towards one another with their arms outstretched. It’s like something out of a movie! The boys run full force towards each other and then quickly embrace before discussing important toddler business.
Seconds later they’re off again, running down the sidewalk with the sort of confidence only born and raised city kids have. Their smiling parents can be glimpsed hovering nearby, making sure they’re safe as they rush off towards their next adventure together.
“It’s Thursday. These two haven’t seen each other since Tuesday. So many feels, it’s beautiful. So thankful,” Michael wrote when he uploaded the clip to Facebook.

Michael’s video went viral online, with people chiming in from all over the world to express how good their friendship made them feel. In a world where we feel constantly divided by race, gender, age, and other meaningless factors, this short moment in time reminds us that we’re all just human beings with the same potential for love in our hearts.
“Now this will warm the coldest heart! Makes me smile every time,” one person wrote on Facebook. “The sweetness and innocence seen here is beautiful,” wrote another. “The way they greeted each other was with love and happiness. Thank you for sharing this. It is truly magnificent.”

Not only is this just the cutest video you’ll ever see, it’s a wonderful reminder that we are all created equally and no amount of hatred or learned prejudices can divide us. Finnegan and Maxwell, thanks for showing us an example of what true friendship looks like.
