If you were around for the birth of rock n roll, I am forever jealous. Artists like Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and of course Elvis defined and solidified the genre in Americana and abroad. There are few artists that can hold a candle to the greats of yesteryear, but one musician that seems to be able to channel the rock n roll style at all times.
Matthew Lee is an Italian pianist, but grew up listening to all sorts of rock n roll music. Dubbed ‘The Genius of Rock n Roll by the International press, Lee has performed all over the world.
Roaring crowds in Italy, Belgium, UK, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Netherlands, Germany and the United States have all come to love his new spin on the classic musical style.
Most recently, Lee performed at the world famous ‘Cincinnati Blues Festival’ where he performed in front of more than 150,000 people. All in all, the young performer has played well over 1,000 shows so far in his career.
In the video below, a passersby caught Lee and his band performing an impromptu rag style tune on a lone piano in the Nashville, TN airport.
