Dad Channels Inner “Despicable Me” To Give Kids Hilarious Remote Learning Rules.

As students head back to school this fall, the learning landscape looks a lot different due to the ongoing novel coronavirus situation. Stay-at-home parents like Marcus Stricklin of Glendale, Arizona now have even more responsibilities to juggle since many kids are learning remotely.

Marcus has four kids whose ages range from 3 to 16 years old. His wife is also working from home, so he felt the need to lay down some ground rules for his older daughters in order to make their home a productive place to learn and work.

In a TikTok video, Marcus dons his best Gru scarf and lip syncs to a scene from “Despicable Me.” His daughters took on the roles of Gru’s adopted daughters as they go over house rules such as, “you will not touch anything,” and “you will not bother me while I’m working.”

Parents everywhere should be able to relate to this funny video! The Covid virus has presented many challenges over the past few months, but Marcus is proof that maintaining your sense of humor is a must when navigating these strange times.
