But if there is anyone else who could pull it off, you’d better believe it’s the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Originating in Illinois, this marching band has been stunning folks with their music since 1948. Nearly 80 years have passed, but they are still going strong!

When a band has been around that long, it’s tough to name their very best performance. That said, the Cavaliers marching band’s rendition of Africa is certainly noteworthy. This performance took place at Lisle, Illinois on August 8, 2021. Even the crowd joined in for a portion of the song! Experience this unforgettable cover of a classic in the video below.

According to the marching band’s website, they started out as a drum and bugle corps for a Boy Scout Troop in Chicago. Now, they are a 164-member ensemble that takes their talents all around the world. In doing so, they have received many accolades, including the 7 Drum Corps International World Championship. How cool is that!?
