Man Who Died And Came Back Is Asked What It Feels Like — His Answer? “Peaceful.”

A man wearing a beanie and broken glasses looks up and gestures with one hand as he talks to another man, TikTok user GloJays.

TikTok user GloJays is no stranger to initiating all kinds of conversations with, well, strangers. His account is full of videos where he learns all sorts of interesting things from folks from all walks of life. Still, nothing could have prepared him for the response he’d get when he asked a man about his broken glasses. I imagine that GloJay may have even expected to hear a funny story but, instead, he learned that the man had broken his glasses from a seizure last week.

What was truly shocking, however, was that the cause of this seizure stems from last year when this man was pronounced dead. While at work, he experienced a blood clot so large, it sent him into a two-week coma. Miraculously, a surgery with a 42% fatality rate saved his life.

Naturally, GloJays asked the man what it was like to die.

“Peaceful,” he said with no hesitation. “Life flashes before our eyes. Every single memory you’ve ever made in your entire life will rush past you at lightspeed. And you get to a point where, whatever pain you might be feeling, you don’t feel it anymore, and you’ll just start to not even understand what’s going on, and then you’ll be back or you won’t.”

For many of us, the concept of death is so scary, we don’t want to give it any thought. Although this is just one person’s experience, folks have still expressed feeling reassured by his words, noting that it makes them less afraid of death.

Watch this man share what dying feels like in the video below.
