Taking care of our animal friends isn’t always easy. Shelters do their best to take care of animals who don’t have forever homes yet, but it’s common for them to reach full capacity. In fact, there are an estimated 60-100 million stray and feral cats in the United States alone. A number like that can feel disheartening. But kind, caring folks like Prohor give us hope.

Prohor loves to feed stray cats. But he ran into a problem. Sometimes finding and reaching these cats is rather difficult. Luckily, videos of remote-control cars being sent to explore cities gave him the exact inspiration he needed. By altering remote-control cars, he’s been able to transport food to stray cats he wouldn’t have been able to otherwise! Catch a glimpse at this brilliant solution in the video below.
How cool is that!? There are so many benefits to feeding stray cats with this method. There’s Prohor’s original reason for doing this, of course. But this method also better ensures the safety of both the felines and humans involved.
Plus, remote-control cars aren’t the only mode of transportation Prohor uses! He’s also added a quadcopter to his growing list. In the video below, you can check out how that works!
While Prohor loves what he does, he couldn’t do it as much without the support of folks who watch him online. In fact, donors on Patreon can sometimes get something special for their donations.
“Viewers can have their name or Instagram handle inscribed on a saucer,” he explains. “I shoot videos featuring their mark and create a joint reel. This way, it benefits everyone: well-fed cats and good exposure for the sponsor.”
Man’s Brilliant Method to Safely Feed Stray Cats is the Definition of Wholesome
This generous man hopes to keep feeding stray cats like this for a long time. In fact, he hopes to one day have enough money to further improve his methods.
“I have grand plans, but unfortunately, there isn’t enough funding for this dream,” he shares. “I plan to buy a larger remote-controlled car, install a video camera on it, and use it to feed more than 20 cats at once. I want to drive it around the city from home.”
