Stray Mama Cat Takes Her Sick Babies To The Hospital And Checks Them In.

There’s nothing quite like a mother’s intuition!

Most moms have an uncanny sixth sense when it comes to their children’s health and well-being, and it definitely reaches beyond humans. A mama cat recently showed the world that felines sense when something is wrong with their little ones, too.

Staff members at a hospital in the Karabaglar district of Izmir, Turkey, were working one morning when a mother cat waltzed into their office carrying a tiny orange kitten in her mouth.

The baby looked healthy at first glance, but upon closer examination, they discovered that one of his eyes was infected.

“As we began to receive patients in the morning, she showed up with her kittens. She asked for help, meowing for a long time. We were shocked,” they explained.

The staffers had seen the mama cat before, even providing her with food and water outside. They didn’t realize she was pregnant until she showed up with her little ones and asked for help.

“Upon careful examination, we saw that the kittens were not able to open their eyes due to infection,” they said. “We consulted with veterinarians and gave medicine as described. When the kittens opened their eyes a short time later, we were thrilled.”

They cared for the mama and her kittens until their eyes were clear, and then they sent them to a shelter until they are big enough to be adopted. “This is the first time something like this has happened to us,” they added. “We were emotional and delighted to see that they recovered well.”

Now that’s a smart mama! She knew her babies had a problem she couldn’t fix, so she went to the place where humans had always been kind to her. We hope she and her babies quickly find the forever homes they deserve!
