The only thing better than getting a surprise is witnessing the best reaction ever when you give one! For mom Jeni Besworth, her two daughters, Izzie and Lola, did not disappoint.
The family of three had been talking about getting a dog since the girls were little, but as a single mother who understood the giant responsibility of caring for a puppy, Jeni decided to wait until Izzie and Lola were a bit older. Then finally (and somewhat unexpectedly), Jeni found their perfect canine companion just in time for Christmas! It was a holiday gift the girls never saw coming!
Animal lovers to the core, the three Besworth gals have dog-sat, dog-walked, and visited countless shelters, but when Jeni met an Australian labradoodle named Presley, she knew she’d found the one.
“I was never intending to get a ‘Christmas’ dog,” Jeni wrote on Twitter. “I met her and went home to really think on it (first person EVER to walk away from a puppy!) but I couldn’t stop dreaming about her.”
So on Christmas day, the girls found an envelope hidden in the branches of their tree. Inside was a tiny dog tag engraved with the name “Presley.”
The girls’ ecstatic, shocked, and tearful response was captured on tape in one of the best gift reveals of all time, and it’s melting hearts everywhere!
