Most of us get rid of our old magazines, but 19-year-old artist Madeline Rector found a better use for them.
Her grandfather has been giving her National Geographic editions since she was a little girl, and she's kept every single one. Not only does she appreciate their sentimental value, but she's also transforming them into stunning masterpieces!
Already a talented painter, Madeline decided to branch out and get creative with her magazine collection one day.
She began tearing small colored pieces from the pages and arranging them into mosaics. As you can see, each and every one of them is incredible!
While finding the perfect combination of colors isn't easy, Madeline clearly has a gift for breathing life into her creations.
We're not the only ones who think so! Her passion has earned her thousands of fans online, whom she never fails to impress.
"Stunning! Can’t imagine the time and effort that goes into these works," one person wrote on Instagram. Another summed up our feelings by asking, "How on earth is this even possible?"
But to Madeline, only one person's opinion really matters: her grandpa's.
She shared a sweet video on TikTok to celebrate his 92nd birthday and wrote, "Thank you, Pops! I do it because of you!"
What a unique way to honor her grandpa! We're sure it means the world to him, just as his gifts have meant so much to her. You can find more of Madeline's work on Instagram, TikTok, or her website.
