“Greatest Showman” Hit Was Actually Sung By This “Voice” Finalist.

You may not recognize her when you see her, but if nothing else, her voice is unmistakable.

Singer, Loren Allred, first hit the spotlight in 2012, when she reached the finals as a member of Team Adam during Season 3 of “The Voice.”She didn’t win, but still, she called the experience “totally amazing.â€

When I auditioned, I thought ‘What am I getting myself into? This is so scary and so risky.’ When people sign up for something like this, they don’t know if they’ll be completely humiliated or if it turns into something they always dreamed about.

In the clip below, she sings Amy Winehouse’s 2012 hit, “You Know I’m No Good,” as part of the competition. What a sultry performance, and you know there’s definitely more where that came from!

Even though she didn’t win, Loren’s appearance on “The Voice” definitely got her noticed, and may likely have led to her most notable, quasi-Hollywood role to date: the voice of famed Swedish opera singer, Jenny Lind, in the 2017 movie, “The Greatest Showman,”starring Hugh Jackman.

Jenny, who played a pivotal role as the love interest of showman P.T. Barnum, was portrayed by actress Rebecca Ferguson. But Rebecca’s been trained as an actor, not a singer. So when she launches into the ballad “Never Enoughâ€? She’s lip synching.

That incredible voice actually belongs to Loren. And don’t they even look alike?

It’s not really that surprising that Loren was tapped for the vocals, especially considering her family background and pedigree: Her father, Dr. Brady Allred, serves as conductor for the Salt Lake Choral Artists, while her mother, Dr. Carol Ann Allred, has made a name of her own as a classical soprano and voice teacher.

So she had to have known at an early age that music was her calling, and it was just a matter of fine-tuning her skills before Hollywood came calling.

Loran’s vocal skills were obviously used behind the scenes in “Greatest Showman,” but she took the whole spotlight last month, when she sang “Never Enough”during a performance at Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, Florida.

Check it out in the video below, and share if you agree her voice is truly one of a kind!
