Ninja Cat Pokes Rabbit But Bunny Knows What’s Up.

No doubt, you’ve heard of the classic game of cat and mouse. Well, the cute interaction featured below is like that… but with a couple important distinctions.

First, the mouse, in this case, is a fluffy little rabbit. And second, he is not interested in playing the cat’s silly game.

It’s like one of those Tom & Jerry cartoons, when Tom slithers behind a lamp post and disappears, then peers out at his unsuspecting prey. But this bunny’s nobody’s fool. He’s apparently played this game before and he’s not falling for it again.

Hey. Are those carrots over there? Go check it out. I’ll wait right here (hehe)…

He knows full well what the cat’s up to: If he makes a run for it, the cat’s predator instinct will kick in, and then it’s R.I.P. Mr. Bunny. So he plays it smart and makes like a statue.

But cats didn’t get their serial-killer reputation from nowhere. No one likes to be poked and prodded, and the cat knows he just has to be annoying long enough for the rabbit to get irritated and move. So he switches sides to see if that’ll do any good.

Psssst! Mom and Dad were just talking about having rabbit stew for dinner tonight. I’ll cover for you. Quick, make a run for it!

HEY! Did you hear what I just said? RABBIT STEW!

Naturally, the silly video has gone viral and amused viewers have countless interpretations of what’s really going on here.

What do you think? Maybe it’s just a classic game of poking someone on one shoulder, hoping they’ll turn around, only to appear on the other side. Psych!
