Such was the case for one young woman named Cecilia who started crying in the crowd at the sound of Lonestar’s songs. The tune and its lyrics flooded her memory with that of her late father. Noticing the tears in her eyes during soundcheck, the lead singer pulled Cecilia up on asked her what was wrong.
She explained him that her father had recently died, and the country band was one of her dad’s favorites. Cecilia’s story filled him with compassion, and he decided to do his best to leave her with a good memory.
In order to make the night extra special for Cecilia, he decided to give her a hat and t-shirt from the band. he then sat down with her on stage and serenaded her with the sweetest version of Lonestar’s song “I’m Already There.â€
The lyrics were just what the young woman needed to hear in her time of grief.
“I’m already there
Take a look around
I’m the sunshine in your hair
I’m the shadow on the ground
I’m the whisper in the wind
I’m your imaginary friend
And I know I’m in your prayers
Oh, I’m already there”
She wept through the entire song, but it was clear the moment filled her with incredible memories of her late dad and all the times they shared together.
