Ambra’s son Asher is suffering from hepatoblastoma, the most common type of childhood liver cancer. As a result, the young trooper has undergone liver transplant surgery. This type of cancer typically affects children under three. Asher has been through eight grueling months of chemotherapy and is cancer-free, but his liver was decimated by the cancer, which forms in the tissues of the liver.

Asher’s mom has been sharing his cancer journey on TikTok. When he got the call that they had a liver and could perform his transplant surgery, the family prepped for a long day. Ambra posted the above plea to her followers with a simple request. Please send Asher well wishes and pet pictures to cheer him up after the long surgery.
Puppy parents understood the assignment and responded in a huge way. Asher heard from a dog named Asher, as well as Bear, Titus, Brutus, Hank, Copper, Stella, Oliver, Abby, Cinnamon, Zelda, Memphis, Tater Tot, Nacho, Hashbrown, and many more. Asher made it through the 14-hour transplant surgery and spent about a week in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The young warrior continues to improve. He got a visit from Maverick, a therapy dog, and was all smiles. His mom has hundreds of dogs to show him when he’s feeling down to help make him smile.
