When Mike Bower and Baily the Beagle stepped on David Letterman’s stage way back in the good ol’ days, the talk show host was already a bit shaken. The previous guest frightened the host so badly, he referred to him as “demon dog.” We don’t know exactly what Letterman endured, but it’s safe to say he needed the laugh attack that Baily was soon to bring.

Bower and Baily were on the show for Letterman’s skit ‘Stupid Pet Tricks.’ The segment featured pets with outlandish talents, more ridiculous than useful.
Bower taught Baily a special version of ‘play dead’ that he thought worthy of Letterman’s show… and boy was he right.
