Glee was a force to be reckoned with between its debut in 2009 and its final episode in 2015. The show that followed a high school glee club made choir cool and blurred the lines between the popular kids and not-so-popular kids.
If you were a fan of the show, you were probably also a fan of the charters, Rachel and Blaine.

Though the two characters were never a couple on the show, the actors themselves (Lea Michele and Darren Criss) are close friends in real life which made their onscreen friendship all the more believable. In fact, the two friends are currently co-headlining a concert tour – three years after Glee ended.

Recently, at a concert in Las Vegas, the friends decided to perform a cover from the insanely popular new movie, ‘A Star Is Born’. The movie is currently in theaters and stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
When Lea and Darren prepared the audience for their performance, Lea led with a disclaimer that the duo had “literally never”sang the song before. But their rendition of “Shallow” was so flawless, you’d never guess it.

Darren played the guitar and sang Bradley Cooper’s portion of the song, but it was Lea who stole the show. Just like on Glee, the singer belted it out, perfectly nailing every crescendo and sending chills down everyone’s spines.

We can’t believe this was without rehearsal! They were in sync and their chemistry made the performance all the more powerful. Lea and Darren did the song justice. The only way it could have been better is if the entire Glee cast were there to back them up.
