Although we might think that King Charles and other members of the royal family can be a bit stodgy, the 77-year-old likes to let loose from time to time. Though we don’t always get to see if with our own eyes. According to People, during the 50th anniversary celebration of the King’s Trust, King Charles joined Idris Elba in the DJ booth to spin some tunes. Idris shared more about the “amazing” experience.

“It was the 50th year of The King’s Trust, who I work with sometimes. One of our programs, Elba Hope and The King’s Trust, we had this DJ that I trained. He’d done one of my courses, and he was DJing. King Charles came over, and he wanted to do a back-to-back, so he got on,” Idris explained.
King Charles is a Darn Good DJ
A few days after his stint spinning wax with Idris Elba, King Charles met up with Christian St. Louis for another stint in the DJ booth, People reported.
Christian had another glowing report about King Charles and his enthusiasm in the DJ booth.
“I got genuine energy from him; he didn’t seem like he was being forced to be here,” he said. “He seemed like he wanted to be here.” He added, “He is a lot more quiet, a lot more composed than I imagined. I got granddad vibes. He gives me that kind of energy.”
Are we surprised? A little, but we love this for King Charles. It’s nice to see him loosening up and enjoying his life. It’s far too short not to have a little bit of fun. We can’t imagine how he must live it up at his grandkids’ birthday parties.
