Keith Urban Plucks Fan From Crowd & Hands Him Guitar — Is Blown Away By Crazy Skills.

Country star Keith Urban, has been known to pull some surprises out of his hat during his concerts. Surprises like plucking random fans out of the audience and letting them share the spotlight for a spell.

Last fall, for example, he pulled aspiring singer/songwriter Hailey Benedict and her sister onstage, prompting the then 14-year-old to post: “I have always dreamed what it would be like to perform in front of a huge crowd singing my very own song and last night that dream came true in the biggest way possible.â€

But that wasn’t the first time this superstar has helped make an aspiring musician’s dreams come true — and it certainly won’t be the last.

Just a couple months earlier, he asked a massively talented guitarist named Robert Joyce to join him on the stage after noticing a sign Robert’s girlfriend was holding up. The sign told Keith that it was Robert’s birthday.

“He could be your backup guitarist,”Robert’s girlfriend, Lex, tells Keith. Keith then turns to him and you can almost visualize his raised eyebrows: “Really? My back-up guitarist? No pressure!â€

The young man, Robert Joyce, spreads his arms out wide like it’s a given, and replies, “That’s my dream job!â€

Okay, son, wish granted. Except you’re not playing back-up anything. Keith Urban not only gives Robert his own guitar to use, but lets him completely take over! Keith was content to simply sing and let his young protégé show his stuff. Now is that awesome or what?
