Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Spend Girls’ Day in London

Kate Middleton Princess Charlotte

Kate Middleton took her only daughter, Princess Charlotte, for a special mother/daughter day in London on October 10, 2026. The pair even took a ride on London’s subway together. Witnesses who saw the ladies riding on the Elizabeth Line noticed that Charlotte’s face lit up, and they guessed she was a first-time passenger. When your parents are the future King and Queen of England, you don’t always have the typical experiences that many British children do. Royal enthusiasts praised Kate for letting Charlotte see a very different part of the city.

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Looked So Happy Together

Even though Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte were riding like typical Brits, they had security with them who kept a watchful eye, according to Hello!

“They spoke to members of the public sitting across from them. They had security with them, and Catherine held Charlotte’s hand getting off at Tottenham Court Road. The security didn’t make it obvious they were there, and they tried to make it as ‘normal’ as possible,” a witness said.

It’s not clear what Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte had planned for the day, but the pair exited the subway at Tottenham Court Road.

“Catherine had her phone with her and was looking at her phone for a couple of minutes. They seemed very relaxed and were chatting together, smiling. It was a brief interaction with people opposite them, but they seemed very happy,” a witness shared.

The moment is reminiscent of the late Princess Diana. She took her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, on adventures as often as she could. She knew just how fleeting childhood is and wanted her boys to experience as much as they could with her.
