John Hurcombe of Blaenavon, Wales, recently shared one of the greatest examples of this that we’ve ever seen. When Storm Dennis swept across the U.K., most people hunkered down inside and waited for it to pass. One couple, however, took a vastly different approach!

As wind raged and rain poured down on the streets, these two delightful souls decided to make the best of it. They grabbed the closest thing to a surfboard they could find (which happened to be an ironing board), and took to the flooded road to let their inner children out!
While they dropped the board on the street and hopped on to “hang 10,” their neighbor couldn’t help laughing at their antics.

For almost two minutes, they ride the “waves,” pausing only to greet honking passerby and do an impressive trick (like dramatically switching positions).
In a video John shared on Facebook, we hear “Surfin’ USA” by The Beach Boys in the background, and it makes for the perfect scene.
Everyone was delighted by the post, writing things like, “This would be us!” and, “Most British couple ever.” Plus, now the entire world has a new relationship goal: Find someone who makes normal moments as awesome as this!
