The Tanner family often learned a valuable lesson on Full House during the 30-minute sitcom. We’d usually walk away from watching the show with a better understanding of life, how to treat others, and what it means to be family. Danny Tanner, played by Bob Saget, would give his three daughters, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle, nuggets of wisdom while trying to raise them as a single dad.

Jodie Sweetin played Stephanie Tanner in the original Full House series and the reboot, Fuller House. Jodie became close to Bob both on and off camera. Sadly, he passed away suddenly in 2022 from the aftereffects of a head injury. Though he is no longer with us on earth, he passed on an important lesson to his co-star before he died.
Bob Saget helped Jodie Sweetin Understand That Life Is Funny
Jodie Sweetin currently stars in a stand-up comedy show, Family Dinner, of which “Bob Saget would be very, very proud,” she told Kate and Oliver Hudson on their podcast, Sibling Rivalry.
She shared that allowing a bunch of stand-up comedians to “go for it” occasionally leads to inappropriate material, but Bob helped her understand that it was OK.
“One of the huge lessons that I learned from Bob and Dave [Coulier], who suffered a lot of loss and tragedy in their life,” Sweetin said they’d “make absolutely the darkest jokes at their own expense to deal with death and loss and divorce, and all of these things. I learned that nothing is so big that you can’t make fun.”
She said that she misses him but feels like his death was just how he would have wanted it to be.”He got off stage that night and posted that it was one of his greatest shows ever” and “he was on top of the world.”
