Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, shared a special memory of her late husband on what would have been his 68th birthday.
The Comfort Food podcast host posted an Instagram video of Bob celebrating his final birthday on May 17, 2021. That night, Kelly had a waiter surprise him with a delectable dessert topped with a massive sparkler. While that alone was a sweet moment, Kelly pointed out that Bob was wearing a bandaid, and she explained the sweet reason why.
“I will tell you a cute story about this night,” she wrote. “See the little band-aid on his arm? During dinner, he got a mosquito bite and kept scratching it until it bled… so he went up to the front desk.”
“Like four different restaurant workers frantically got him a Band-Aid,” she continued. “And they all put the Band-Aid on him as if they were performing surgery-and it caused such a scene- and he came back to the table with this little Band-Aid, and we both laughed because it was so silly.”
Kelly Rizzo Is “Forever Grateful” For Her Memories With Bob Saget
Kelly Rizzo and Bob Saget began dating in 2015 and married in 2018. The two remained together until Bob’s unexpected passing on January 9, 2022. Along with his wife, the beloved comedian also left behind three daughters; Aubrey Saget, Jennifer Belle Saget, and Lara Melanie Saget, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Sherri Kramer.
“Forever celebrated, forever loved, forever remembered, forever in all of our hearts,” Kelly shared. “Happy Birthday. Forever grateful for these memories, and this last birthday celebration together. Forever happy I got to see a smile on his face and happiness in his eyes. Look at how happy he was 🥹🎂❤️.”
