Fans of the Marvel Universe will be happy that Jeremy Renner will be able to return as Hawkeye. It’s been a little more than a year since the near-fatal snowplow accident where the star broke 30 bones. If you missed it, Jeremy was helping his nephew last year on January 1, 2023, when he fell off his six-ton snow plow. The actor was crushed under the tracks (think tracks like on a tank). The rescue efforts following the accident were caught on a body cam. We’ll spare you those details (it wasn’t a pretty sight).

The actor returned to the “Mayor of Kingstown” set several weeks ago, posting about it on his Instagram. Healing required many surgeries and a lot of physical therapy. Jeremy posted his progress on Instagram, allowing fans to follow his amazing recovery.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, “It’s a one-way street, this recovery. The rest of my life is about health and wellness. Recovery will be part of the rest of my life, so I look forward to it, man. There’s always something to do to get better, be stronger, be happier, be healthier, and that’s what I look forward to.”
One year after the devastating accident, Jeremy Renner visited the hospital. He wanted to thank the staff that worked diligently to keep him moving toward recovery. He included the first responders at the scene, doctors, nurses, and additional staff. Jeremy has not been shy about thanking everyone involved in his recovery.
Jeremy Renner Is Moving Forward
In another Instagram post in November, he wrote, “My greatest therapy has been my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better…. Be exceptional… I feel it’s my duty to do so. Not to squander my life being spared , but to give back to my family, friends, and all of you whom have empowered me to endure. I thank you all.”
Throughout the entire period of his recovery, Jeremy has been thankful for all the people who helped. Whether it is in his music, his acting, or his relationships, Jeremy is grateful to be alive and have this “second chance” at life. He is a man who seems driven to excel in utilizing this opportunity after almost losing his life under that snowplow. Jeremy portrays a hero in The Avengers movies. In real life, he IS a hero.
