Man Plays Simon & Garfunkel Classic On Bizarre Guitar, The Final Result Is Show Stopping.

jamie dupuis guitar solo

This man just gave a classic new life.

Ever since Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” hit number one on the Billboard’s in 1966, the song has served as a timeless reminder of a golden age in music. It’s been covered hundreds of times by talented artists… but we’ve never heard it played like this before.

Jamie Dupuis doesn’t sing a lick, but the way he plays his custom guitar is second to none. Jamie plays a harped guitar, which is a unique version of the traditional instrument that sports 12 extra strings above and below the standard six strings.

When played correctly, the drone strings add a depth to music impossible without them, and Jamie proves this point.

Without uttering a word, the artist’s rendition of ‘The Sound of Silence” takes you straight back to the ’60s and will have you singing along with the mellow tune.

Check out his amazing rendition in the video below!

“The Sound of Silence” isn’t the only song Jamie plays on his harped guitar. He has posted several videos of himself playing tracks such as “The Unforgiven” by Metallica, “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd, and “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who.
