6-Year-Old Jaden Hayes has experienced more heartbreak than most of us ever will. He lost his father when he was only four, and last September his mother passed away in her sleep. The reality of his situation could have quickly caused him to despair, but instead of throwing in the towel, Jaden decided to look outward to the needs of others.

Though Jaden was devastated, he quickly realized something that we all need to hear, “Anyone can die, anyone.” It’s a truth we all must face someday. For some it happens too soon when others lead long and productive lives… but the reality remains. Until that day comes, Jaden’s one wish is to make every person in the world smile.
Jaden convinced his aunt and caretaker Barbara Decola to go out and buy small toys to give to strangers on the street… just to make their day. While a few passersby didn’t quite know how to react at first, each and every one of them left the interchange with the biggest smile on their face. The little boy’s overwhelming, innocent kindness has been touching lives all over Savannah, GA, and now we bring his story to you.
