Jessi and Alessio Pasini have a popular Youtube channel. She is an American wife, and he is an Italian husband living in America. They have been creating “My Italian husband…” video clips for many years. The gist is that he tries typical American foods and other uniquely-American experiences in videos. This time, they tested Little Debbie brand snacks. When this Italian husband tries American snacks… the results are simply hilarious.

After trying the Little Debbie snacks, they also tested out Hostess snacks. There are so many on the shelves that they had to make a second video! America has a much wider selection of pre-packed snacks and dessets than most European countries. As much as we love our Little Debbie cakes, you have to admit that when this Italian husband tries American snacks…. his assessments are almost always spot-on (and quite funny).

Alessio started with the Honey Bun, a favorite in many households. Once he figured out how to pronounce the name of this product, the tasting began. One bite was all it took. Honey Buns were a definite no, causing Alessio to exclaim, “Terrible!” Glazed donut sticks received a decent 4 out of 10 rating.

Zebra Cake seemed to steal the show with a 5 out of 10 rating. Then came the Nutty Buddy receiving another 5. Oatmeal Creme Pies brought us a lot of “Wow, wow.” We expected more from them based on his reaction. When he announced the pies rated 0 out of 10, we should have immediately awarded him an Oscar.

While he seemed to hover around the middle of the scale on most products, a surprise contestant came out of the package. This one caught me off-guard because I think this Little Debbie product tastes like chocolatey wet cardboard. However, I don’t have the refined palate of Alessio, so I’ll let you see his reaction.
