Issy Simpson may be young, but she could already give seasoned entertainers a run for their money on the legendary Vegas Strip. The 8-year-old girl is, after all, from Blackpool, which judge Alesha Dixon described as “the UK version of Las Vegas”— so the budding magician would feel right at home with her own Vegas show.
In an episode of Britain’s Got Talent that aired last month, Issy rolled Houdini, Tabitha and Hermione Granger into one with a stunning performance that left all of the judges slack jawed while the audience clapped and cheered.
“I think I was born to do magic,”Issy said before her performance. “I like making everyone gasp and go, ‘Wow.’ When I grow up, I would like to be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.”
“The judge I want to impress most is Simon because he’s the boss. If I get through I’d be pretty excited, one of the best days ever.â€
