A Dalmatian owner has revealed that going for a walk sometimes means answering a lot of questions about her dog. When a group of children came up to pet the pooch, whose name is Kipper, they wanted to know if he was on his way to the fire station. The answer, of course, was no; he’s just a pet! However, since most kids have seen Dalmatians in very specific contexts on television, they sometimes have trouble grasping this concept.
“They didn’t understand that he wasn’t running an errand,” said Kipper’s owner, Maisy, in a TikTok video. “They were like, ‘What do you mean he’s just going on a walk? Isn’t he going somewhere?'”
One commenter chimed in, saying, “People act like my Dalmatian is a fantasy animal! Sometimes it’s like they are seeing a real life unicorn! Adults too!”
