While some humans can be self-interested, our dogs just want to make us, and everyone else for that matter, smile. We could take a page or two (or 10) out of their book. When we’re sad, they try to cheer us up; when we’re happy, they wag their tails and jump around in our honor; when we go away, they miss us endlessly, even if we’re only gone for 15 minutes. It’s a feeling one husky named Jax knows all too well.

In a now-viral video, Jax’s mom Sandra Pettersen decided she wanted to see what the adorable pup would do if she disappeared.
All she needed to do was get Jax all set up in his favorite spot on the couch and grab a blanket to test her theory that he would be absolutely baffled if she were to vanish into thin air.
