Don and Lorraine have been married for 25 years, but the last 15 have been more difficult than they could’ve imagined. After only 6 years of marriage, Don was diagnosed with ALS – a progressive and degenerative disease that robbed his ability to move and speak.

As Don’s condition worsened, Lorraine was forced to take on all the responsibilities of their small farm, raising their children and taking care of Don’s ever-growing list of needs.
