All His Wife Wanted Was Her Late Father’s Camper, So Husband Spends 2 Months Searching For This Surprise.

Micah Farish of Springdale, Arkansas wanted to do something special for his wife, Karis. Karis’s father had passed away in a tragic car accident when she was 12 years old, and Karis had always held on tightly to memories of camping with him in her family’s camper.

“She would tell me stories about how they would take this camper everywhere.” Micah explains in a video he made documenting the surprise. “All her greatest memories happened in this camper with her family. Even greater were the memories she shared with her dad.” Micah explains that– after her father’s death– Karis’s family gave the camper away and she never went camping again.

But, after Karis and Micah had children of their own, she started talking to her husband about getting the camper back, and “reliving some of those memories that she shared with her dad.” That’s when Micah’s journey to find the precious camper of his wife’s childhood began.

Over the course of two months, Micah made phone calls, sorted through old paper work, googled, emailed and even flew to L.A. in search of the camper. When he finally found it, he knew the surprise would be worth the effort: “I guess there’s only one thing left to do.” he says. “And that’s give it to my wife. And go camping.”

Micah uploaded a video of the whole process– including clips from videos from Karis’s childhood, as well as her reaction to the surprise– to Facebook with this caption: “Today marks the 15 year anniversary of the death of my wife’s dad, Thomas A. Craig. I never knew him, but I’m so thankful for the legacy he left and for the beautiful daughter he left for me. This video is a tribute to his life and to the many adventures my family will have in his memory. I love you, Karis.”

Watch Micah’s moving video below, and you definitely don’t want to miss the moment when Karis steps into her dad’s camper for the first time in 15 years. So beautiful!
