Life is full of magical moments. And oftentimes what makes these moments so magical is that they happen when and where you least expect them. For 15-year-old Ethan Becker and his dad Chuck, one of these once-in-a-lifetime moments happened when they were snorkeling off the coast of Mexico.
It all started when Ethan and his dad noticed a wild sea lion swimming toward them. While this can be a potentially dangerous situation, Ethan soon realized that all this cute sea creature wanted was a friend to play with and hug! And honestly… who would say no to that? Ethan did not miss his chance to give his new friend all the love and the playtime they deserved!
“I don’t really know how to describe it as I was just totally taken back,” said Ethan.
Although this sea lion was absolutely adorable, Ethan admits that he should’ve been more cautious of the encounter. And while it turned out to be a great experience in Ethan’s case, we just want everyone to know that it is not encouraged to approach a wild animal like that.
