Artists Donate Henna Crowns To Chemo Patients, Create Stunning Works Of Art “Because Every Woman Deserves To Feel Beautiful.”

We’ve heard some heartwarming stories about the ways people have cared for those with cancer. There was the 7-year-old who grew out his hair for 2 years to donate it to kids with cancer, and then the college students who transformed themselves into Disney princesses to delight hospitalized children with cancer. But the henna artists at Sarahenna are blessing patients in a way we’ve never seen before.

Sarahenna is a henna company located in Bothell, Washington. They use their 100% pure, organic henna to decorate the bodies of men and women alike with stunning temporary tattoos. Sarah, the owner and principal artists, says this unique art form is her “way of connecting with people. In our increasingly electronic world, these connections– however brief– help to fulfill our basic human need for real contact with others.”

With that in mind, Sarah and her team have decided to donate their time and talent to bless cancer patients with stunning henna crowns.

“Because every woman deserves to feel beautiful.”

In the reviews on Sarahenna’s website, one patient referred to her henna crown as “a gift,” saying she gets daily compliments on it. “People have said I look beautiful. It has been so uplifting!” she wrote. “My oncologist and the cancer center loved it.”

“The henna crown was so beautiful. And it still is!” wrote another reviewer. “I also think it’s wonderful that you offer the henna crown for free to cancer patients. It is such a positive memory during a time that can be filled with scary, stressful ones.”
