Supporting a loved one as they go through cancer treatments is never easy, but one little boy in Brazil is showing us how it’s done!
Heitor’s friend Davi lost his hair due to chemotherapy treatments. Knowing his friend felt sad about his appearance, Heitor decided to do something to make him feel like he still fits in perfectly.
As his mother holds up a mobile phone so the two boys can video chat, Heitor grins from ear to ear as someone shears off his short, dark locks. As the razor hums, Davi can be heard crying on the other end of the call, telling his friend to stop because he doesn’t have to do it. Heitor brushes off his protests with a simple statement that’s guaranteed to put a lump in your throat.
“I do it for love,” he says. “We’re the same now! We’re always going to be together.”
