As you already know, we love Christmas music. Remember the epic, celebrity-filled rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” James Corden created for his Carpool Karaoke Christmas special? It blew us away! Now we have another star-studded performance of a Christmas jam… Heidi Klum and Sal Valentinetti singing “Santa Baby” for the America’s Got Talent’s Christmas show.
There’s a couple of really cool things about this performance. For one thing, Sal Valentinetti and Heidi Klum have a special relationship. Each season, the judges are allowed to hit their “golden buzzer” just once, for a special contestant of their choosing. After Sal’s amazing first audition— in which he channeled Frank Sinatra and charmed the judges– Heidi hit her golden buzzer for him, which was a huge honor!
Another neat thing about this performance is it was Heidi’s first time singing publicly! No one knew that this fashionista could sing, but she actually has a beautiful voice!
That said, it might be a while before she takes the stage again. Heidi took an embarrassing tumble at one point in the performance… but she recovered like a champ, turning the moment she hit the ground into a chance to pose dramatically. Such a professional!
The performance was full of Christmas cheer, complete with Christmas trees, snow falling, and band members dressed as gingerbread men… It’s impossible to watch without cracking a smile!
