Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of the wildly popular yogurt company Chobani, came to the US with nothing. Since opening his doors in 2007, Ulukaya has made Chobani the international brand for greek-style yogurt and a staple in households around the world!

The Turkish-born entrepreneur built his yogurt empire from the ground up, and the now billionaire never forgot where he came from.
In an unheard of show of gratitude, Ulukaya decided to give his 2,000 employees a 10% share in the company. Thanks to Ulukaya’s billions, that could (and likely will) amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars per person when the company goes public or is sold.
And this isn’t the first time Ulukaya has been generous: last year he pledged $700 million, nearly half of his wealth, to help Syrian refugees. Wow.
In the video below, Ulukaya announces his incredibly generous gift to the employees that make his company tick. In his mind, without them, none of his success would have been possible.
“Once we worked together, now we are partners.”
