You never forget your first job. But even more memorable than the activities you did at that job are the people who cheered you on as you stepped out into adulthood.
For 17-year-old Rio Smith of Methil, Scotland, her biggest cheerleaders go by the nicknames Gran and Grandad: her grandparents.

Rio just got her first job, and she rides a bus every day to work. It just so happens that the bus passes through her grandparents’ neighborhood, so the adorable couple has developed the sweetest routine. Rio just shared it with the world in a now-viral tweet:

When Gran and Grandad learned of their viral fame, they were quick to emphasize exactly why they started the tradition: “It’s Rio’s first proper job and we couldn’t be more proud of her,” they said. “We are just so happy to wave her off every morning on her way to work.”
