Michael Ferda’s Grandma, Margie, has been through a lot. In the last year, she lost her oldest grandson and had to make the tough decision of putting her husband in hospice. That’s why her family is always on the look out for ways to make her happy. The plan they came up with last year, however, might be their best one yet. It took place the week she had made the decision about her husband.
Michael shared the moment on TikTok. In the video, we see Grandma Margie make her way to a counter in a store where she asks about the pumpkin pie she’s there to pick up. When the pie is delivered to her by a man, he asks her, “Is there anything else I can help you with today? Anything else, Grandma?”
This man didn’t decide to call a stranger Grandma — rather, he was one of Margie’s grandchildren! He’s in the military, so she had no idea he was going to show up. And, for a minute after he talked to her, she still didn’t realize who he was. As Michael shared, Margie is almost completely blind, making it difficult for her to people. But as soon as she did, the happy tears began to flow!
