“Our 5-Year-Old’s Response To Daddy Throwing Out All The Consequences If She Doesn’t Stay In Bed”

Image shows a dad giving his kid an ultimatum and her response is funny.

Kids have been fighting against bedtime since the beginning of time. Parents have devised different ways to handle the issue. Reading bedtime stories, singing, playing quick, calming games, and every form of coercion imaginable have been put in play. On occasion, you just run out of patience, and you lay down the law, like this dad. He wasn’t expecting to have to leave the room, as he was laughing at his kid’s funny response.

Joe Teague was putting his daughter, Remi, to bed. Remi was a constant fighter and always got out of bed. Joe gave her ultimatums, “I will take away treats like the cookies we just made, and then we’re gonna stop doing stuff like cheerleading or anything like that if you don’t start listening. So lay down.” The funny response from his kid will have you rolling.

Carey and Joe Teague have three daughters: Raelyn, Remi, and Rogan. Their oldest is eight, so they’ve been at this a while. When Remi said, “Is that how we play, huh? We’ll see about that, huh?” There was a dramatic pause between the statements. Joe found himself speechless. He had to hurry out of the room to keep from laughing.

After finding out she went viral, the kid has developed the habit of uttering the funny response every night. It no longer works, but she’s going to keep trying.

Kids are going to be kids. They will continue to test their boundaries on bedtimes with their parents. As kids grow older, the funny responses will undoubtedly become more creative.
