The Walt Disney Corporation just released their annual Christmas ad, and it’s guaranteed to have you holding back nostalgic tears!
In three minutes of stunning animation, it tells the story of a Filipino child named Lola, who was given an iconic Mickey Mouse toy by her dad back in 1940. After cherishing the doll for many years, she gives it to her granddaughter, who loves it just as much as Lola does.
As time passes, Lola’s granddaughter loses interest in the toy and her other childhood favorites. But as Lola gives up on their sweet connection, her granddaughter lets her know that their family traditions will always live on!
What a beautiful reminder to cherish the traditions that make our families unique! As an added bonus, Disney is donating 25 percent of each vintage Mickey Mouse toy purchase to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
