It’s always hard when something you dream of doing becomes seemingly impossible following a tragic accident. But a touching “France’s Got Talent” performance proves why you should never give up on your dreams – no matter how impossible they may seem.

Meet Florent Devlesaver, 31, and his friend Justin Collin, 24.

Florent had always wanted to be a dancer. Sadly, an accident in 2002 left him paralyzed. It wasn’t until 2011, that he decided to take a chance at continuing his dream, attending the Carine Granson dance school in Belgium. That’s where he met Justin, and the two men became fast friends.

They ultimately auditioned together for “France’s Got Talent” with a unique dance telling a powerful story.

In their symbolic performance, Florent seems to be portraying someone determined to prove that despite his disability, he doesn’t need anyone’s help.

Justin attempts to offer his friendship and assistance but is rejected.

And then Florent’s character falls over.

Justin’s character repeatedly tries to help, while Florent acts out struggling with the reality of his situation. Finally, Florence’s character accepts his offers.

The dance ultimately shows that it’s a struggle to come to terms with a life-changing disability. However, it’s okay to ask for help from your friends. It’s also possible to be there to help your friends and to lend them your strength as well.
