For some, driving over 500 miles may seem like a not-so-enjoyable thing to do. But for Laura Decker, this long drive is worth it if that means she gets to hug her grandpa, better known as “Papa.”
Recently, Laura decided to surprise her 84-year-old Papa at his baseball tournament – one that was especially important for him since it was being held in honor of her late Grandma.
In a video posted on social media, Laura can be seen walking into the baseball stadium with her little daughter, while slowly approaching Papa who was wearing his baseball uniform. Laura’s little girl couldn’t help but run toward him, prompting him to immediately hug her with the biggest smile on his face.
Next up for a hug was Laura… and the tears start falling down Papa’s face in the most adorable way.
We think it’s fair to say that Laura doesn’t regret any of the over 500 miles she drove to surprise her Papa, and we suspect she would not hesitate to do it all over again!
