There are some people in this world who, despite going through so much pain, still manage to put it aside to bring joy into other’s lives – even the life of a complete stranger.

This type of selfless generosity is exactly what Caitlin Foster and her precious little daughter Lacey witnessed during a recent visit to a toy store in Ballymena, Ireland.
Lacey had been given €10 (which is a little bit over 10 dollars) by her grandma so that she could get a toy of her choosing. Therefore, Caitlin decided to take the little girl to a store called Smyths Toys.
While Lacey was trying to decide on her new toy, the mom and daughter were approached by three store employees. According to Caitlin, the workers asked if they could give a gift card to Lacey, explaining that earlier that day a woman had bought it and asked for the gift card to be given to a preschool child.
When Caitlin opened the gift card, she found more than just the number that indicated how much money it was worth.
“I just started to cry,” Caitlin told Belfast Live. “And then the workers were crying too. It was very emotional.”
After witnessing the heartwarming moment, Caitlin decided to write a post on Facebook hoping that the woman might see it and be assured that the employees acted upon her request.
“All I can say is if Juno’s mummy is reading this, I just want to say a huge thank you,” Caitlin said. “She made my wee girl so happy, and I am thinking about her and her family. It is very kind what she has done, and it has inspired other people to do the same.”
We cannot imagine the pain this mystery woman is going through, especially on the day of what would’ve been her daughter’s fourth birthday… but we are just so happy her message fell into the right hands. Just look at Lacey smiling with her new toys!
If Juno could see Lacey now, we’re sure she’d be smiling too!
It’s acts of kindness like this that make this world a beautiful place to live.
