There are some people in this world who truly live to help others. It doesn’t matter the situation; if they can lend a hand, they will. Some of these exceptional men and women make a career of helping by becoming first responders. Millions of us owe our lives to brave law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency responders. A group of firefighters in Washington state saved the day recently for an Instacart driver, but probably not the way you expected. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue, which serves the communities of Puyallup, Orting, Parkland, Spanaway, South Hill, Frederickson, Graham, and Kapowsin, shared the amazing story.

The Instacart Driver Had an Accident En Route to a Delivery
According to a Facebook post, the firefighters knew the Instacart delivery needed to reach the customer.
“On Friday, Rescue 66 responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a driver who was delivering groceries for an Instacart customer. The driver was thankfully uninjured, but their vehicle was damaged and waiting for a tow, leaving the delivery unfinished,” the post reads.
“Without hesitation, the Rescue 66 crew stepped in, gathered the groceries, and completed the delivery themselves. It was a small gesture that made a big difference for a grateful community member and a reminder that serving our community sometimes means going beyond emergency response.”
The sweet story made many people smile.
“That is amazing!! Thank you Rescue 66 for going above and beyond for our community members,” someone wrote.
“Nor rain, sleet, snow or car accident, God sends his Angels! You guys are awesome!” Another person cheered.
This person hoped the Instacart order went to some kids who likely got the thrill of their lives.
“That would definitely be a surprise grocery delivery! I hope they had kids that would be exciting,” they wrote.
Just another example that kindness always wins.
