The series is back with five new characters—Goldfish, Starfish, Ugly Sweater, Lovebird, and Book. And people are already taking guesses on which stars are behind the costumes.
Goldfish was the first singer to take the stage, and she wowed the judges and fans with her rendition of Olivia Rodrigo’s Vampire. Her flawless performance actually earned an early release, which gave her the front-runner title before the season even premiered. Most fans believe either Kristin Chenoweth or Vanessa Hudgens is behind the orange and pink mask.
The second singer to take the stage was Starfish, and she won hearts with her fun and quirky take on a 1980s classic. Her vibe has everyone thinking she’s Jennifer Coolidge.
Starfish followed up Goldfish’s song with Madonna’s Material Girl. The singer had the judges on their feet, clapping along, and the crowd singing the words.
“100% Jennifer Coolidge,” one fan wrote under a clip of her performance on X. “Stiffler’s mom!” added another.
“I REALLY think this could be Jennifer Coolidge,” a certain fan commented on Instagram.
The First Unmasking Did Not Follow the Rules
Ugly Sweater and Lovebird followed with Tina Turner’s Simply the Best and Phillip Phillips’ Home. Ugly Sweater quickly joined Goldfish as one of the most promising singers of the season with his unique and soulful voice.
Book came last, and he gave his best try with So Sick by Ne-Yo. Nearly every single person who talked about the performance on social media was positive Kevin Hart was in the costume. And they were right!
Book ended up unmasking himself before a vote even took place. He ripped his costume off and shocked the judges before he laughed and said his place on the show was a prank.
“The was the worst performance ever on the history of this show!” Nick shouted.
“Yeah, on purpose, Nick,” Kevin yelled back.
Be sure to tune into Fox next Wed. at 8 PM ET to meet the group B singers!
