The test in question was a math exam that kept Hannah up all night studying. “My ultimate goal was to get the perfect GPA, a 4.0,” less than confident about her performance. She Snapchatted her mom saying she thought she “failed.” This was her mom’s response:
I told my mom I failed my math test and this was her response :’) pic.twitter.com/BYGuVVEyWr

The tweet has been retweeted and favorited by thousands of people who were touched by Hannah’s mom’s message.

Many people found it hilarious that Hannah’s mom sent the heartfelt message via Snapchat, and applauded her tech-savvy ways. Hannah explained that her mom had sent the message via Snapchat so that she could keep up a streak they had going. Talk about goals!

Hannah says she’s glad that the message has gone viral as it is an example of a mother’s unconditional love, support, and trust. “Our relationship is based upon trust and love. She never asks me to do homework, asks for my grades, or do chores because she trusts me to do so.â€
Hannah is also proud that the message is challenging the stereotype many people have of Asian mothers. “Not all Asian parents are strict and demanding,” Hannah insists. “I’m glad to say that we broke free from those stereotypes and proved them wrong. My mom is the most wonderful role model I could ever ask for. She is the most powerful influence in my life and continues to love me unconditionally.â€
