This woman certainly deserves a record for her incredible labor! Her fifth child came into the world a couple of weeks ago and has just set a hospital record for the biggest baby born.
Britteney and Chance Ayres welcomed their fifth child to the world on October 23, 2023. Born via cesarean section, the Ayres family had no idea that their kiddo would be so large.
“Never in our wildest dreams did we think he’d be that big,” said Dad.
This sweet baby is named Sonny, and he’s made a giant impact. At 14 lbs and 8 ounces, Sonny is almost double the weight of the typical newborn. Apparently, once he was born, there was a big celebration for his size!
“When they put Sonny on the scale, there was a drumroll and all the doctors and nurses were throwing out guesses about what the number would be. After they read his weight, everybody was cheering like the league had won the Stanley Cup,” said Sonny’s excited parents.
Folks who saw the news of this birth took to the comments to send their well-wishes.
“Mamas are tough!! Congratulations on that beautiful baby!!!” cheered one viewer.
“My twins didn’t even weight this at birth combined! Congrats mama, that’s a lot of weight to carry around!” said another.
