Now that’s what we call the dog days of summer! Every year, Fassnight Pool in Springfield Missouri celebrates their last day of the season with a very special event for its four-legged citizens. Dog Swim is held the day after Labor Day, and it’s a rare opportunity for pups to have the pool all to themselves! According to the Springfield News-Leader, there are no humans allowed in the water during the event.
Dog Swim is more than just a pool party for pooches, though. It’s also a fundraiser! This year, UPI tells us that the goal was to collect money for the local Cruse Dog Park Now that the dogs have had their fun in the sun, the pool can be drained for the winter.
