Esther Anderson– the mom behind the popular parenting blog Story of This Life— has recently become a mom to her second little girl. As any parent knows, having an infant at home isn’t easy. But having an infant and a toddler? Kiss those nights of 8 hours of sleep goodbye!
But– despite having her hands full– Esther does have one major blessing in this situation: big sister Ellia actually likes her baby sister! Not only that, she totally loves her. Some big siblings have a difficult time adjusting when Mom and Dad bring a baby home, but little Ellie adores her baby sister, Tessa.
Esther is able to capture a little bit of that sweet love in the precious video below.
In the video, Ellia wakes up from a nap grumpy. She walks into the living room where Esther sits, holding Tessa, on the couch, already in tears before she even reaches Mom. “This is gonna be a long day.” Mom sighs. “It was already a long night.”
But once Ellia sees little Tessa, her countenance changes completely. Putting her head on Baby Sis and gently rubbing her face, Ellie is clearly enamored. “I love her so much!” Ellia tells mom.
