Marty Cobb, an airline flight attendant, quickly went viral and became famous for a hilarious video of a PA announcement during a Southwest flight. To date, she’s earned over 22 million views. The reason? She goes above and beyond to entertain and inform her passengers.
That sentiment has been the golden theme of Marty’s life: to put others first and then think about herself.
And it hasn’t come without hardship.
The single mother from Dallas, Texas has raised her three kids all on her own, while traveling as a flight attendant. Sometimes money has been very tight, often travel wore on her, frequently she needed help. But she persevered.
Ellen found the video of Marty and couldn’t pass up the chance of bringing her in the studio. But once Ellen learned the truth behind Marty’s story, she knew she had to do something to help. She knew it was time for “one heck of a surprise.”
